East Devon Gardens was born out of my desire to work creatively and independently within my beautiful natural surroundings in Devon and around my young family.
I was brought up in the countryside and so have always had a firm grounding with the seasons and the natural world. I have always been inspired by beautiful gardens and architecture, visiting as many beautiful places as I can over the years throughout the UK, and beyond, in my time living and travelling abroad in my 20’s.
Since moving to Devon in 2013 and leaving a career in engineering, I have been exploring a growing interest in gardening and horticulture. I have experimented in my own garden and allotment, learning as much as I can about all things horticulture, especially growing cut flowers and vegetables.
Completing my RHS Level 2 and 3 diploma in Horticulture and a level 2 certificate in Garden Design from Bicton College, has given me a great basis for creating and nurturing the gardens I work in. I love developing this experience and knowledge all the time.

When I am not working in the garden or thinking about flowers, I am spending time with my husband, 3 children and our dog. Or you can find me paddle boarding, wild swimming, hiking or exploring the South West’s beautiful coasts and moors with my beautiful black lab Storm.
