East Devon Gardens was born out of my desire to work creatively and independently within my beautiful natural surroundings in Devon and around my young family.
I was brought up in the countryside and so have always had a firm grounding with the seasons and the natural world. I have also always been inspired by beautiful gardens and architecture, visiting as many beautiful places as I can over the years throughout the UK and beyond in my time living and travelling abroad in my 20’s.
Since moving to Devon in 2013 and leaving a career in engineering I have been exploring a growing interest in gardening and horticulture. Experimenting in my own garden and allotment and learning as much as I can about all things horticulture, especially recently in growing cut flowers and vegetables.
Completing my RHS Level 2 and 3 diploma in Horticulture and a level 2 certificate in Garden Design from Bicton College has given me a great basis for creating and nurturing the gardens I work in and I love growing this experience and knowledge all the time.
Check out my instagram feed to watch my journey and follow my gardening inspiration.
When I am not working in the garden or thinking about flowers I am spending time with my husband, 3 young children and dog. Or you can find me paddle boarding, wild swimming or hiking and exploring the South West’s beautiful coasts and moors with my beautiful black lab Storm.
